The City of Memphis has launched an ambitious streetlight improvement project, a cornerstone of the broader “Memphis 3.0” initiative aimed at fostering sustainability and livability. This project involves upgrading the city’s street lighting to a state-of-the-art, connected network of energy-efficient LED lights, with LEOTEK playing a pivotal role.

Before the upgrade, 85% of Colima’s streetlights were estimated to fail annually, leading to safety risks and operational challenges. The modernization project aimed to resolve these issues while achieving over 35% in annual energy savings and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

In a significant move towards sustainable energy, SaskPower has partnered with Leotek, a leader in LED technology, to revolutionize street lighting across Saskatchewan. This collaboration aims to replace over 100,000 streetlights with Leotek’s energy-efficient LED lights in 103 towns and cities, marking a new era in the province’s public lighting system.
